Event Description

Gender is an essential part of both student and instructor identity. Gender factors into every aspect of teaching and learning and inevitably shapes classroom experiences and outcomes. This single session workshop explores gender dynamics in the classroom and prepares instructors to discuss, address, and integrate issues of gender at every stage of the teaching process. Emphasis will be placed on approaches for creating equitable and inclusive learning environments for students of all gender and presentation, inclusing trans and non-binary students. For more information, contact Anna Duensing (anna.duensing@yale.edu) and Nick Fisk ( jeffrey.fisk@yale.edu). This ATW counts toward the Poorvu Center’s Certificate of College Teaching Preparation (CCTP) requirement for a “topic engaging inclusivity or diversity. We anticipate that this event will be held in person, and we will update participants with any changes.
