ATW: How We Learn

Event Description

Are you interested in taking an in-depth look at the theory behind what you see happening in your classroom? What is really going on when your students are learning? How can this knowledge guide your teaching practice? In this two-part workshop, we will consider an evidence-based approach to college teaching so that you can make decisions in your classroom that are grounded in research-based theory. In this workshop, we will provide an overview of evidence-based cognitive theory (how people learn) and its application to our classroom (how we can help people learn). Please contact Zhenya Sakal (ievgeniia.sakal@yale.edu) and Larry Bowman (larry.bowman@yale.edu) with any questions. This is a two part workshop meeting on February 18th and February 25th.
