Event Description

But how do you implement discussion well, and avoid those awkward moments when no one talks? In this workshop, we will identify the components of an effective discussion across the disciplines, highlight how different fields implement discussions, and introduce strategies for encouraging these dynamic conversations in our classrooms. You’ll walk away with concrete ways of starting and shaping a discussion, knowledge of the factors that influence discussions, and ideas of what to do in difficult moments of discussion facilitation.
