Event Description

Effective mentorship is an often underexplored facet of instruction. Graduate students and young faculty are especially uniquely positioned to serve as mentors to undergraduates, both in the classroom and beyond. How can we be the most effective mentors for the undergraduates students we teach? In this workshop, we will discuss recent research on mentoring as well as concrete tools to build a successful mentor-mentee relationship. We will also analyze different ways of providing intellectual, professional, and social support to your mentees. The content of this workshop will be relevant for graduates in all disciplines.
