Whether you intend to regularly teach online, or whether you simply wish to be prepared for crisis situations, this ATW will introduce you to the necessary tools for remote teaching, and help you consider the possibilities and challenges of teaching online. We will consider meeting access needs of all kinds by going over UDL practices, evidence-based efficacy of digital teaching, and the available instructional platforms. We will pay special attention to the question of building community in the online classroom. This ATW counts towards the Poorvu Center’s Certificate of College Teaching Preparation (CCTP) requirement for a topic engaging technology.
