Event Description
In addition to typical pedagogical techniques such as Bloom’s taxonomy and Universal Design for Learning, modern technological tools allow instructors to boost student engagement in the classroom in a variety of ways. Technology can be leveraged to promote peer-to-peer dialogue and foster a classroom environment in which students work together to construct knowledge. This ATW will focus on strategies, such as the flipped classroom and a variety of platforms including the Google Suite, Zoom and Canvas, to facilitate peer learning and real-time feedback in the classroom through the directed use of technology. For more information, contact mac.crite@yale.edu and delfina.gonzalez@yale.edu. This ATW counts toward the Poorvu Center’s Certificate of College Teaching Preparation (CCTP) requirement for a “topic engaging technology.
