ATW: Rubrics and Grading

Event Description

Why do we grade? What kind of feedback would really help your students to improve? How can you grade efficiently while being fair and consistent? In this workshop, we’ll discuss different kinds of assessment and grading schemes. We’ll also work through sample rubrics and discuss current controversies regarding modern grading methods and how they might be improved. Finally, we’ll consider problems you might encounter while grading and what to do about them. For more information, contact malena.rice@yale.edu or valeriia.mutc@yale.edu.
