Event Description

Why do we grade? How can you grade efficiently, but fairly? How can you grade to help your students improve most? To make your students feel most comfortable and supported in the learning process? In this workshop, we’ll consider current controversies regarding grading practices and their inclusivity. We’ll discuss different kinds of assessment and grading methods that can help you create an inclusive classroom environment, such as contract grading, opt-in grading, and grading rubrics. For more information, contact Sooyun Choi (sooyun.choi@yale.edu) or Hugo Havranek (Hugo.havranek@yale.edu).

This workshop will be held in person at the Poorvu Center.
