Event Description
College classrooms increasingly come fitted with new technology that aims to make teaching more lively and interactive. In this workshop we will familiarize participants with some of the most commonly used technologies. We will then discuss how to use technology in meaningful and impactful ways depending on the course and the instructor’s learning objectives. All are welcome, but this workshop will specifically use examples from science classrooms. Please note an analogous workshop with humanities examples will be held on February 14th, and later in the semester, a workshop called “When to Teach with Tech” will explore when the use of digital technology enhances teaching and when it detracts from meeting learning goals. This workshop fulfills the CCTP tech requirement. For details, please contact archer.hamidzadeh@yale.edu or hannah.lant@yale.edu.
