ATW: Teaching Naked: When should we use technology?

Event Description

Why do we teach with technology? Should we? Instructors today have access to a wide variety of technological tools that they can use to engage students both in and out of the classroom. While this technology can be extremely useful, it also raises difficult questions about what exactly its role should be. Can technology distract us from our core mission of educating students? Are there more “old-fashioned” teaching skills that we should work to preserve? This workshop will provide a space for raising these questions and discussing different approaches to answering them. We will also discuss specific applications for teaching with and without technology. This workshop counts toward the technology ATW requirement of the CCTP.
