Crafting Your Publishable Legal Article

Event Description

No matter what level of law degree you are pursuing, you are doing a lot of writing. Why not use some of those papers to get published? Publication allows you to showcase your research and writing and enhances employment opportunities. In this interactive workshop series, we will cover all you need to know to pursue publication, including: choosing the right paper and publication; honing your argument for a new audience; editing for publication; and submitting your article and abstract. Part 1 will cover the first step in publishing your research: selecting the appropriate paper and targeting likely publications. Join us for this interactive workshop as we explore what makes a paper publishable and how to find likely publishers, including general law journals, specialty publications, and legal writing contests.

Intended Audience: Law School students and graduate students exploring legal writing
