Event Description

Have you ever wondered whether some teaching methods might be more effective for student learning than others? In this Fundamentals series, we will provide an introduction to evidence-based teaching and how to incorporate scientific studies of student learning, retention, and motivation into the classroom. By the end of this Fundamentals series, participants will be comfortable with finding and interpreting sources from the teaching literature and will be familiar with several evidence-based ‘best practices’ for the classroom. For more information, contact Nata Dudkina (nata.dudkina@yale.edu) or Lauren Saunders (lauren.saunders@yale.edu). Please note that this workshop requires preparatory reading before each session, and is a four-part workshop taking place on 1/20, 1/27, 2/3, and 2/10.  This workshop will be held online via Zoom.
