Event Description
Are you interested in learning teaching strategies that consider diverse backgrounds, prior experience and preferences of students? Do you want to know how to create an equitable and transparent environment? And how “the hidden curriculum” influences students’ learning and participation? This four-part series will include information on the universal design for learning, strategies for creating a respectful and supportive classroom environment, and tools for equitable and transparent assessment. The workshop will help you think more broadly about what inclusivity means, and develop and incorporate inclusive teaching in your classroom. Please contact Zhenya Sakal (Ievgeniia.sakal@yale.edu) and Matthew Ellis (matthew.w.ellis@yale.edu) with any questions. This is the third part of a four-part workshop series, running on 9/19, 9/26, 10/3 & 10/10.
