GWL Panel: Applying for a Postdoc in the Humanities & Social Sciences

Event Description

Join us for a special panel on applying to post-doctoral positions! Several current Yale postdoctoral scholars, from a range of disciplines with the social sciences and humanities, will discuss their experiences of applying to postdocs and answer your questions. The event will start with a short presentation on some basics of applying to postdoctoral positions, including where to look for them and how to pitch your application materials. The panelists will then answer a few pre-formulated questions about the process of applying, before we move on to a general Q&A with the audience. Our panelists include:

  • Stephanie Redden, PhD (Political Science)
  • Ivy Onyeador, PhD (Psychology)
  • Gabriel Lee, PhD (History)

Intended audience: Graduate students entering the job market this year are encouraged to attend, as well any students wishing to get a head start on this process.
