From Paper to Publication in the Humanities and Social Sciences Part 5: Writing a Good Cover Letter and Responding to Journal Decisions

Event Description

This five-part series will guide you through the process of converting a seminar paper into a submission-ready journal article. Part 5 helps you understand and work through the process of finally submitting your article and navigating reviewer comments. We will discuss concrete tips for writing a professional cover letter, checking journal requirements and conventions, and exploring real feedback provided from reviewers across the gamut from “accepted” to “accept with revisions” to “rejected” (and how to follow up). We invite you to bring a draft seminar paper that you would like to convert into a journal article. / Intended audience: This series is tailored to suit the needs of students in the Humanities and Social Sciences. / We encourage you to attend all sessions of the series, but also invite you to sign up for the sessions that are most relevant to your revision process.
