The Reproducibility Debates in Science and Social Science Research
Event Description
A colleague sends you a PDF of a new paper in your field–it’s a “failed replication” of one of your previously published results! How can you avoid this in the future? How can you make sure the results you publish are reproducible in the first place? Come to this seminar and workshop on Reproducible Research and find out. The focus will be on work in the social sciences, but all are welcome and may benefit from the discussion and tips. Topics to be covered include replication, open data, pre-registration, and best practices for conducting reproducible experiments.
Intended Audience: Graduate and Professional School Students and Postdoctoral Scholars working in the Sciences and Social Sciences
