Teaching and Learning Discussion with Bonnie Weir: Using Research to Inform Pedagogy—Teaching Conflict Resolution
Event Description
Instructors routinely use their research to update and inform the content of the courses they teach, but does that research also impact their pedagogy? Join the Poorvu Center for a conversation with Lecturer in Political Science, Bonnie Weir, as she shares how her field research in Northern Ireland informs her teaching practice to give students the conflict resolution tools to navigate and someday help resolve some of the world’s most destructive conflicts. Faculty participants will have the opportunity to discuss and consider the intersection between their own research and teaching practice.
