We will be reviewing the key components of legal writing, including memo writing; brief writing; and letters and emails to clients and other attorneys. Don’t miss this opportunity to refresh your legal writing skills so you are ready to hit the ground running and impress your summer employer! Part 2: Appellate Brief Writing. In this interactive workshop, we will review the purpose and audience for an appellate court legal brief. We’ll discuss persuasive writing techniques for each section of the brief, as well as developing an argument. We will also engage in exercises to practice your advocacy skills.
