Event Description

What have we learned about learning from this most unusual of academic years? During the pandemic, we transformed the way we teach and learn. Students logged into our classrooms from across the globe while instructors taught from kitchens, living rooms, and bedrooms. We recorded our lectures and remembered to unmute ourselves. This year’s Spring Teaching Forum will bring together the Yale community to reflect on the challenges and successes of online learning as we approach the upcoming year with anticipation and uncertainty. A panel of Yale faculty members from across the disciplines will share their experiences in a roundtable discussion. Participants will have the chance to think together about how this year has reshaped their approach to teaching. How did we attempt to forge community at a distance? How did we confront existing and emerging issues of inequity? What positive changes will we take with us as we return to campus?
