Yale School of Art, 36 Edgewood, Room 204

Event Description

This workshop will help you create a bridge between your audience and your art. Audiences are curious about your intentions, and a clear, conscious understanding of your medium, your process, and your values as a contemporary artist can guide them to your vision. You will be given the tools to start crafting a unique and to-the-point artist statement that addresses the how, what, and why of your art. The interactive, writerly nature of this workshop will allow you to start sculpting a professional statement that can reach multiple audiences for specific contexts and purposes.

This workshop is co-sponsored by the Robert B. Haas Family Arts Library.

Intended Audience: School of Art and GSAS students interested in writing their artist statement, bio sketch, or profile.
