Gabriella Kirkley is the Assistant Program Director for the STEM Education team at the Poorvu Center for Teaching and Learning at Yale University. Her team helps to coordinate, organize, generate interest in, and gain support for, the Summer Institutes initiatives advanced through regional, mobile, online and one-day workshops. The mission of the Summer Institutes is to promote evidence-based teaching across scientific fields, especially through supporting best practices for increased diversity, assessment, and active learning.
Gabriella earned her Masters of Arts in Global Studies from Sophia University in Tokyo, Japan, and received her Bachelor of Arts in International Political Economy and Diplomacy from the University of Bridgeport. She has a strong background in teaching populations with diverse socio-economic backgrounds, including a variety of age and interest groups, in international settings.
