Patrick O’Brien-Sevilla joined the Poorvu Center in 2016 as the Communications Officer. In this role, he collaborates with Poorvu Center leadership to formulate a communication and marketing strategy designed to inform the University community about the Poorvu Center mission and opportunities. He manages the Poorvu Center website and supports the Center’s campus community platform: Yale Connect. He serves as the media/press liaison for the Center. He also supports the planning and execution of Faculty Bulldog Days. In November 2018, Patrick and four other colleagues received the Linda K. Lorimer Award for Distinguish Service for their work with the Future Leaders of Yale staff affinity group.
Patrick received his B.S. with honors in Communication from Boston University. Following work at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in the Marketing and Media Relations Department, Patrick joined Yale University as the Marketing Coordinator for the Office of New Haven and State Affairs and University Properties.
Patrick aspires to leverage his diversified skills to increase awareness of the Poorvu Center’s work. He is proud to support an institution focused on becoming the research university most committed to teaching and learning.
