Svetlana Tcareva
Svetlana is a 6th year PhD candidate in the Slavic Languages and Literatures department. Her research is at the intersection of cultural anthropology and literary studies, and in her dissertation she examines the gap between ideology and embodied life in the early Soviet Union. She published in two edited volumes, presented at 12 conferences, and has also been an active member of the Toastmasters public speaking club.
Svetlana joined the graduate writing lab in December 2017 and has a great enthusiasm for working with students at any stage of their academic journey. As a passionate educator, Svetlana has always enjoyed helping people and designing learning experiences around them, and she makes sure that each consultation is tailored around the student’s needs and goals.
