Since all Yale students are required to take Quantitative Reasoning courses, teaching a QR course often requires you to teach logic and skills to students at varying levels of past experience with the material. This two-workshop series will focus on strategies for teaching, including: engaging students; assessing student understanding of the material; the role of visualizations, demonstrations, and examples; making abstract ideas concrete; using active learning techniques in QR classes; and the use of problem-based learning.
