. Recent developments in cognitive psychology research provide insight into how learners absorb and process information. We can leverage this research as instructors and as learners ourselves. In this one-part workshop, we will consider evidence-based teaching methods that are grounded in how students think and learn. In this workshop, we will provide an overview of evidence-based cognitive theory (how people learn) and its application to the classroom (how we can help students to learn). For questions, please contact either malena.rice@yale.edu [1] or julianne.gerdes@yale.edu [2]. Suggested readings will be provided for part two of the workshop.
