ITW: Classroom Teaching Observation

Event Description

Please join us for a lively discussion of good teaching practices. By the end of this workshop you will be equipped to observe the classroom teaching of a peer or mentor, as well as productively discuss the experience as an observer. For the Certificate of College Teaching Preparation (CCTP) program you need to observe two classes and to be observed twice while teaching. This workshop will help you to understand the process. Contact Angélica Clayton (angelica.clayton@yale.edu [2]) or Valeriia Mutc (valeriia.mutc@yale.eud [3]) with questions.

Please note: Intermediate Teaching Workshops do not presuppose any previous engagement with the topic, but will draw on topics mentioned in the Fundamentals of Teaching/the CIRTL MOOC. For a refresher on key pedagogical terms you may have encountered in the Fundamentals or the CIRTL MOOC, please refer to our glossary: tinyurl.com/PedagogicalGlossary.

This workshop will be held in person.
