Sign-Up Tool Beta Release Notes: March 23, 2018

The Sign-Up Tool Beta Release was updated on Friday, March 23rd with user interface changes, bug fixes and feature enhancements. Below is a list of what is new with this release:

 

Bugs fixed:

  • Fixed bug where some notifications were being sent even after the notification preferences were changed.

Enhancements:

  • User Interface Changes (Instructor / Student)

    • The user interface has been updated to be more streamlined and user friendly.

  • Create / Edit Appointment (Instructor)

    • Ability to attach a file to appointment groups.

    • For reoccurring events, ability to choose which day(s) of the week the appointment will reoccur

  • Warning message and notifications when deleting appointment groups (Instructor / Student)

    • INSTRUCTOR:  If an instructor deletes an appointment group for which a student has signed up, Instructor receives a warning that those students will get an email notification that their appointment is canceled.  Instructor can opt to also send notifications to students who did not sign up for a slot.

    • STUDENT:  If an instructor deleted an appointment group for which a student has signed up, that student will receive an email cancelation notification.

  • View Appointment Groups (Instructor / Student)

    • On the appointment group listing, instructors and students can see additional information about the appointment group (including what calendars it is assigned to, description, location, maximum number of appointments one student can book, and maximum number of students that can sign up for one timeslot.

  • View Appointment Groups Filter (Student)

    • Students can now filter appointment groups by calendar (view only appointments for a particular class).
