For many applications, reference letters are KEY. But whether we’re requesting reference letters from a mentor or writing them for our own mentees, the process can feel daunting. This is especially true in the difficult situation where we’re asked to draft a reference letter for ourselves! During this workshop, we will discuss what makes a strong reference letter and explore how to highlight the applicant’s strengths and testify to their potential without bragging. We will also provide strategies, frameworks, and writing tips that will help you request or write an outstanding letter for yourself or others. Intended audience: Graduate and Professional School students and postdoctoral scholars in all disciplines
