Event Description

Becoming an antiracist educator looks different for everyone based on their identity, power, privilege, and discipline. In this workshop, participants will reflect on their scholarly fields and consider the relationship of their field to race, power, and privilege in the academy, including how these relationships affect how they teach and assess their students. Participants will brainstorm concrete skills and tools to create anti-racist learning environments and will leave the workshop with long-term and short-term goals for implementing anti-racist pedagogy in their field. This workshop builds off of the ITW: Delving into Anti-Racist Pedagogy, scheduled on October 11th. For more information, please contact delfina.gonzalez@yale.edu or michelle.johnson@yale.edu
