Event Description
Are you aiming to foster an equitable and supportive classroom environment? Are you hoping to design lesson plans, assignments, and activities that are accessible and engaging to a breadth of students? In this four-part series, we will learn to apply evidence-based equitable teaching strategies, (including Universal Design for Learning), discuss how to create compassionate learning spaces, and engage with tools for equitable and transparent assessment. We will explore what it means to be equitable, become familiar with the scholarship on equitable teaching, and consider how inequity shapes our classrooms and the academy. Participation in at least three of these sessions is required for the Certificate of College Teaching Preparation (CCTP). For more information, please contact Richard Li (richard.li.rl839@yale.edu) and Micah Siegel (micah.siegel@yale.edu).… . This four part event will take place on Mondays: 01/22, 01/29, 02/05, 02/12 — Event Details: https://yaleconnect.yale.edu/rsvp?id=2261201
