Event Description

Are you teaching a section or seminar in the Humanities this year and interested in refining your pedagogical practice alongside fellow graduate instructors? Join our four-part workshop on the Fundamentals of Humanities! Through interactive demos, group discussions, and personal reflection, we will explore strategies for designing weekly lesson plans, scaffolding written assignments, generating classroom discussions, and grading. Participants will gain hands-on experience with techniques and tools applicable at Yale and beyond. We welcome everyone from Yale University interested in teaching and learning in the Humanities. All participants, regardless of field, are encouraged to share their own experiences for workshopping and discussion. Participation in at least three of the four sessions is required for the Certificate of College Teaching Preparation (CCTP). For more information, please contact Inês Forjaz de Lacerda (ines.lacerda@yale.edu) and Kevin Hong (k.hong@yale.edu). — Event Details: https://yaleconnect.yale.edu/rsvp?id=2273233
