Event Description

Are you teaching a class or section in the social sciences this year? Join us in this four-part workshop series of the Fundamentals of Teaching in the Social Sciences! This workshop is designed to help instructors in the social sciences build confidence in the classroom, develop concrete pedagogical and critical reflection skills about their teaching practice, and share strategies for equitable and effective teaching. Through group discussions, personal reflections, case studies, and engaging in pedagogical ytheory, we will explore strategies for effectively teaching undergraduate and graduate students. Participants will develop versatile skill sets that will equip them to engage, teach, and learn in the social sciences at Yale and beyond… . . Participating in at least three of the four sessions is required for the Certificate of College Teaching Preparation (CCTP). For more information or if you have any further questions, please contact Destiny Treloar (destiny.treloar@yale.edu) or Whitney Denary (whitney.denary@yale.edu). — Event Details: https://yaleconnect.yale.edu/rsvp?id=2273279
