Event Description 

Are you gathering your materials to apply for a grant, fellowship, or other competitive position? Or thinking about one you may be eligible for in the future? Join us as we discuss the essential elements of a personal statement and consider how a strong personal statement will make your overall application more competitive. In this workshop, we will evaluate successful personal statements from a variety of applications, and learn how to hone the focus, narrative, and style of our personal statements.

Intended audience: students and scholars at all stages of their academic careers.
