Event Description

Are you curious about how accessible the technology you use is for all of your students? Hoping to build a more equitable classroom through the use of technology? This workshop will invite teachers to think about how technology can help and hinder access for all students. Participants will be introduced to Universal Design for Learning (UDL) frameworks for thinking about their course media and materials, resources for accessibility at Yale, and contemporary debates around technology in the classroom. For more information, contact gavi.levyhaskell@yale.edu and emma.carley@yale.edu. This ITW counts towards the Poorvu Center’s Certificate of College Teaching Preparation (CCTP) requirement for a topic engaging technology.

Please note: Intermediate Teaching Workshops do not presuppose any previous engagement with the topic, but will draw on topics mentioned in the Fundamentals of Teaching/the CIRTL MOOC.

This workshop will be held on Zoom.
