Location of Event:

Poorvu Center, 301 York Street, Room 120A

Event Description

Join us for this learning community to discuss literature surrounding contemporary controversies in teaching and learning and how they affect us as instructors. How can we design equitable learning environments? How relevant is perseverance to students’ success? How and why do we grade? What impact do online education and technology have on the teaching and learning community? These suggested topics can be adjusted based on participants’ interests. This will be your space to reflect on your own teaching and have frank conversations with an interdisciplinary group of peers. Participants should be prepared to read several articles in preparation for each session of the series. For more information, contact Evelyne Koubkova (evelyne.koubkova@yale.edu) or Yasmeen Asali (yasmeen.asali@yale.edu).

This group counts as a learning community for the Certificate of College Teaching Preparation, but all are welcome.
