Please register for the journal club. Dinner will be provided.

Abstract: A new interdisciplinary, introductory science course was offered for the first time during the 2007–2008 school year. The purpose of the course is to introduce students to the idea of working at the intersections of biology, chemistry, and physics and to recognize interconnections between the disciplines. Interdisciplinary laboratories are a key point of connection between the various disciplines. The philosophy behind the design of the course, details about the course structure, and examples of interdisciplinary laboratories that involved the chemical concepts in the course are provided.

The STEM Education Seminar & Journal Club Series is sponsored by the Helmsley Charitable Trust.
