The Yale Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) welcomes Dr. Andrew Cavanagh as a Postdoctoral Associate beginning on Tuesday, September 2. Andrew Cavanagh comes to Yale with a PhD in Applied Developmental Psychology from Fordham University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Notre Dame. His previous research has focused on using social network analysis and multilevel modeling to examine the role of social support and coping in improving educational outcomes for students and teachers.

As the postdoc for this NSF funder project, Cavanagh will apply his understanding of network analysis and psychology to design, conduct, and analyze measures of student engagement, growth, and retention in the sciences.
