Academic Writing Series: Trimming Prose for Clarity and Conciseness - at The Divinity School!

Event Description

Strong academic writing requires clear, simple expression. Yet, achieving that can be a challenge, especially when you are writing about complex principles and issues. Join us for this skills-based workshop where you will learn techniques to hone critical skills in writing clear, concise sentences and paragraphs. Among other things, we’ll work on eliminating unnecessary words and phrases, limiting jargon in prose, and using transitions to aid clarity. You will leave this workshop understanding how to achieve clarity in your graduate academic writing! Intended Audience: Divinity School Students and graduate and professional school students who are interested in honing their skills.
