Event Description
Are you drafting a paper and feeling unsure about the conventions for making claims, structuring your argument, and using sources? If so, this two-part series is for you. In our first interactive session, Tips for Writing Excellence, we will cover the broad principles governing North American academic writing, as well as techniques for applying those principles to your paper… In our second session, Attribution in Academic Writing, we’ll discuss when and how to cite, including best practices when summarizing, paraphrasing, and using quotes. We will discuss ambiguous scenarios and complete exercises to help you understand how to correctly attribute your sources.
Intended Audience: Yale Divinity School students as well as other graduate and professional school students in the humanities and social sciences.
