Event Description
Are you interested in learning teaching strategies that help foster an equitable and inclusive environment in your classroom? Would you like to discuss strategies to create an equitable setting for all students with differing access needs? Do you want to better understand how “the hidden curriculum” influences students’ learning and participation? This four-part series will focus on Universal Design for Learning, strategies for creating a supportive and flexible classroom environment, and tools for transparent assessment. We will define equitable teaching through pedagogical scholarship, learn evidence-based teaching strategies, and begin to develop an individualized teaching practice. Participation in at least 3 of these sessions is required for credit towards the Certificate of College Teaching Preparation (CCTP). For more information, please email Allison Chu (allison.chu@yale.edu (link sends e-mail)) or Sarah Ohashi (sarah.ohashi@yale.edu (link sends e-mail)).… .
