Adam Viera is a Ph.D. student at the Yale School of Public Health (YSPH) in the department of Social and Behavioral Sciences. His research interests center primarily around the development and implementation of community-level interventions to address HIV and substance use. In addition to his teaching experience at YSPH, Adam has also worked as an adjunct instructor at Columbia University’s School of Social Work. Moreover, Adam has a decade of experience leading professional development training for public health and social service professionals. This experience informs his teaching style, which is focused on kinesthetic engagement to approximate real-word application of skills and concepts.
