Shefali Das is a 3rd year Ph.D. student in African American Studies and Film + Media Studies. Her research focuses on state funded military propaganda film, state funded art, and collective memory and consciousness. She holds a B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley in African American Studies and Political Economy. Shefali loves the writing process, and always looks forward to editing hers and her friends’ work, in any capacity – from op-eds to academic research, creative writing to poetry, the process of writing is something that she is deeply passionate about.
