Academic Continuity Workshop: Lecture Capture in the Physical Classroom

Event Description

Throughout the past year of remote learning, many Yale instructors explored the benefits of recording classes for their students. Recording lectures creates valuable opportunities for student review and can increase accessibility of course content via captions or transcripts. As we return to in-person instruction, how might we continue to leverage lecture capture to enhance student learning? What options for lecture capture are available at Yale? How might we think about communicating both the benefits of and expectations for lecture capture to our students? Join us for an interactive workshop on Zoom with time for questions and discussion.

Our Fall 2021 Academic Continuity Workshop series invites instructors to explore pedagogical approaches that integrate technology as we transition back to in-person learning. Participants who desire individualized technological support are welcome to remain on Zoom after the session or schedule a follow-up consultation, either in-person or on Zoom.
