Event Description 

Join us for a special cross-institutional panel on applying to postdoctoral positions! The event will start with a short presentation on some basics of applying to postdoctoral positions, including where to look for them and how to pitch your application materials. The panelists will then answer a few pre-formulated questions about the process of applying, before we move on to a general Q&A with the audience. The featured panelists are:

* Agnieszka Rec, Assistant Editor at the Massachusetts Historical Society; former Postdoctoral Fellow, Chemical Heritage Foundation (now Science History Institute) and the Medieval Academy of America. Areas of research: Medieval History, Central and Eastern Europe, publishing and editing.

* Daniel Schillinger, Postdoctoral Associate and Lecturer in the Humanities Program, Yale University. Areas of research: Political Science; Greek Political Thought.

* Adeem Suhail, Emerging Voices Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Southern California. Areas of research: Social Anthropology, Urban and Political Anthropology in the U.S. and South Asia.

Intended Audience: Graduate students entering the job market this year are encouraged to attend, as well any students wishing to get a head start on this process.
