Location of Event:

Event Description

As generative AI technologies become increasingly prevalent in both teaching and research, it is crucial to establish clear guidelines and ethical standards for their use. During this 90-minute interactive session, participants will explore the fundamental principles of AI ethics, data privacy, and usage boundaries. Through guided discussions and collaborative activities, attendees will have the opportunity to finetune or develop an AI policy for their course or mentees. Participants will hear from a panel of their faculty peers about how their AI policies have come to life in their assignments or student work.    This session will be in person with a light breakfast provided. A virtual option is available in case people wish to participate online. The Poorvu Center is committed to hosting inclusive and accessible events that allow all participants to fully engage. Please contact us at faculty.teaching@yale.edu if there are ways we can support accommodations or for questions about inclusion.
