Event Description

This four-part workshop series is designed to provide new physics graduate students with an introduction to pedagogical practices, supporting their development as effective and engaging physics educators. The workshops will discuss the various facets of teaching physics, from session preparation to in-classroom strategies and appropriate grading practices. Students will critically analyze relevant pedagogical literature, develop concrete strategies to use in their own classrooms, and put these ideas into practice through a hands-on micro teaching activity. Workshops take place on 08/25, 09/06, in room 120A, and on 9/27, and 10/4 in room 120C in person. All incoming physics graduate students are automatically registered for the series.
