Event Description

Four Part Workshop Series: Are you teaching a class, section, or lab in STEM for the first time? Do you want to learn the evidence-based methods for effective, inclusive, and equitable teaching in STEM? Do you want your classes to appeal to a diverse student audience? This interactive series will consist of four workshops in which we will discuss many of the ins and outs of leading a successful and enjoyable class, section, or lab this year. We will discuss practical tips, direct you to Yale resources that will assist you in the classroom, and discuss some of the research that underlies these STEM teaching strategies. This series will also provide a forum for discussion about how to make your course engaging and accessible. Participating in at least three of the four sessions is required for the Certificate of College Teaching Preparation (CCTP). For more information, please feel free to contact Emma Carley (emma.carley@yale.edu) and Richard Li (richard.li.rl839@yale.edu)… . . This four-part series will be held in person on Tuesdays from 4-5:30pm in September (9/6, 9/13, 9/20, 9/27). — Event Details: https://yaleconnect.yale.edu/rsvp?id=1660477
