Linked ITW-to-ATW: Antiracist Pedagogy (2 sessions)

Event Description

Throughout this linked ITW and ATW we will reflect how race, power, and privilege manifest in different ways in different disciplines and how we as instructors can adopt an actively antiracist approach to create an optimal learning environment for our students. In the introductory session, participants will define structural racism and antiracist pedagogy, and consider how racism manifests in disciplinary and academic norms. In the advanced session, participants will apply what they’ve learned about antiracist pedagogy to course design, syllabus-writing, and assessment/grading practices… . . This workshop series will be held in person in 2 sessions on April 22nd (Monday) and April 24th (Wednesday). If you have any questions, please contact Mallory Ellingson (mallory.ellingson@yale.edu) and Katherine Ponds (katherine.ponds@yale.edu)… — Event Details: https://yaleconnect.yale.edu/rsvp?id=2262265
