This Poorvu Center workshop will explore strategies for teaching effective large lectures online. Professor of History Dan Magaziner and Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science Beth Bennett will share their experiences of teaching large classes in a remote format. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss common challenges for large classes, including assessing student learning, engaging and connecting with students, and determining the right balance of asynchronous and synchronous course work.
