Alexandra Dreher
Graduate School Student
Alexandra is a PhD student in Music History at Yale’s Department of Music. Her research examines political and ethical ramifications of sounding structures related to German and Russian contexts during the 20th century. Alexandra has served as a teaching fellow in music and humanities courses at Yale, along with independently conducting a course on music and memory. She has also worked with students in classroom settings in Germany and served as a language tutor at Pacific Lutheran University. As a McDougal Graduate Teaching Fellow, Alexandra seeks to encourage and support instructors in the development of their own voice so that they can inspire their students to use theirs.
